What is anticon?
anticon is like a cyber security conference, but without the presentations, vendors, villages, and badges. So... more like the best lobbycon you can imagine because the lobby is a seaside resort in Mexico.
You can catch up with a friend over a drink at the bar, discuss your favorite vulnerability while floating in the pool, or debate cyber security policy while lounging on the beach. If you get sick of that, you can visit nearby Mayan ruins.
Mayan Ruins? Tell me more.
anticon will be held March 15-18, 2018 at Mahekal Beach Resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The best prices may be available through third party travel companies, such as Orbitz.
We did not book a block of rooms or a conference center. We'll set-up an invite-only slack group prior to the event to facilitate meetups.
Is anticon kid-friendly?
Short answer, no. While the resort has some activities for children, anticon is centered around adult activites, namely drinking.
How do I register?
Then how do I pay?
Book your flight and your room.
How many people are going to anticon?
Somewhere between 14 and 40? See the part about there being no registration.
I have more questions, who do I contact?
Reach out to whomever told you about anticon. If they don't have answers, try reaching out to pepper. If you don't know who pepper is... well that's awkward. But you can probably guess her anticon email address.
